Available Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
Difficulty: Beginner to Moderate — 48 Miles
UTVs OK! Trailered Ride! Available on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Many of Butch Cassidy’s “Wild Bunch” were known to come to Apache County after the breakup of the gang. One of these “alleged” retired members (!), Hank Sharp, was noted to have roped a grizzly bear near this trail at Sheep Cinega. This ride will require you to trailer your wheeler about 16 miles to the Green’s Peak Lookout turnoff. From here you will enjoy a leisurely-paced ride approximately 48 miles through beautiful high cinegas formerly used by ranchers for their summer pasture. This will take you to the highest point of the Outlaw Trail, Green’s Peak Lookout, an elevation of 10,134 feet where you will have an awesome overview of the surrounding mountain country. Then visit beautiful Canaro Spring on the last leg of the trip. This trail is rated “Beginner to Moderate”. Bring a sack lunch. Ride Sponsored by Molly Butler’s Lodge.
