After leaving the Colorado area, he moved his family to a farm in Nutrioso where he raised his seven children alone after the death of his wife. It has been rumored that he was a member of the Butch Cassidy gang, but his Arizona neighbors and relatives know him only as an Apache County deputy sheriff! This fast-paced ride covers about 80 miles, taking you from the rodeo grounds up into the Nutrioso area. This trail is rated for the “Intermediate” rider and will be an all day ride. Bring your sack lunch.
