Jamboree news and registration updates!
We want to thank everyone for their outpouring of support for not only the Arizona ATV Outlaw Trail Jamboree this year – but for their support of ARIZONA!! We have had an unbelievable number of calls – many from folks in California – stating that they are not going to “boycott” us, but are choosing to come to our Arizona event in a show of support. Other callers have told us that they were signed up for a Utah ATV event and decided to cancel and come and support our event to show their support of our great state. Other registrations have been mailed in with “Arizona – Here We Come” printed on the back of the envelope. Whatever your reasons, we appreciate your support for us here in the wonderful state of Arizona. Governor Jan Brewer was actually in Eagar yesterday at a ribbon (log) cutting ceremony for Randy Nicoll’s Log & Timberworks plant that was awarded a $350,000 grant to manufacture round log guardrails. At a reception held following the ceremony, Hank and I were able to talk with Governor Brewer and convey to her the many heartfelt phone calls and letters of support we have received for the Arizona ATV Jamboree this year from across the country. We also extended an invitation to Governor Brewer to attend this year’s jamboree and take a few moments and speak to the crowd and personally thank them for their support of the state. Her staff is checking her schedule and will get back to us whether she will be able to attend the jamboree or not. We will keep you posted!
Things are quickly coming together for the jamboree and we are feeling the excitement!! One interesting call was from a woman in Glendale, AZ. She and her husband were traveling through South Dakota last week and stopped in a small town at a local bar & grill. After they ordered their meal and were waiting for their food, her husband noticed one of our jamboree newspapers on a table. He brought it over to her and told her she might be interested in this. She opened it up and noticed that the event was in Eagar/Springerville and was shocked to here about the jamboree for the first time – from a paper she found in South Dakota!! Small world. Thanks to whoever left behind their newspaper for her to find!!
